Toward a Thin Constitution Anchoring Israeli Governance
Thursday January 25, 2024
The Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI) aims to prepare a detailed proposal for a thin constitution. Forthis purpose, two working groups have been established: one group professionals whose role will be to propose the arrangements; we will call this the “Research Group.” Alongside it there will be a second group – the “Thin Constitution Council” – which will serve the Research Group in an advisory capacity; its composition will reflect all sectors of Israeli society.
If we are successful, the State of Israel will enjoy a stable institutional system and regime.
The Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI) is an independent professional policy planning think tank incorporated as a private non-profit company in Israel. The mission of the Institute is to ensure the thriving of the Jewish People and the Jewish civilization by engaging in professional strategic thinking and planning on issues of primary concern to world Jewry. Located in Jerusalem, the concept of JPPI regarding the Jewish People is global, and includes aspects of major Jewish communities with Israel as one of them, at the core.
