Vice President of the Jewish People Policy Institute, member of the Faculty of Law at the Peres Academic Center, and an ordained rabbi. Friedman served as Secretary of the Locker Committee for Examining the Defense Budget, Chair of the Government Committee on Sanctions against Iran, and Director of the International Law Department in the Prime Minister’s Office. He is an expert on religion and state relations, processes of religionization, secular-religious-ultra-Orthodox relations, Haredi employment, the defense budget, Islamic law, international law, and the BDS movement.
