JPPI initiated the Dialogue project between Haredim and the mainstream organized Jewish community because it wished to explore possible implications of a structural shift in the relations between the two communities. Understanding the structural change that could result from the demographic growth of the Haredim can facilitate renewed strategic thinking around collaboration between the two communities and the difficulties that such collaboration might entail. It is not clear whether this possible structural change was in the minds of all discussion seminar participants. For many participants, the local sessions were about more efficient and better neighborly relations between community members of different persuasions. The follow up programs should try and increase awareness of this possible forthcoming structural change and its implications, including on the local level.
