{"id":14234,"date":"2024-02-25T16:34:48","date_gmt":"2024-02-25T14:34:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jppi.org.il\/?p=14234"},"modified":"2024-08-05T12:42:42","modified_gmt":"2024-08-05T09:42:42","slug":"fundamentalism-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jppi.org.il\/en\/fundamentalism-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Fundamentalism Project"},"content":{"rendered":"This project examines the Israeli Jewish and Muslim populations in the light of internationally recognized definitions and indices of religious fundamentalism.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, JPPI Senior Researcher, Dr.\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Shlomo<\/span>\u00a0Fischer has become part of team investigating fundamentalism in the Middle East, sponsored by the US National Science Foundation and headed by Prof. Mansoor Moaddel of the University of Maryland. This research project conducted a detailed survey of the Israeli population\u00a0 with a sample size of 2,142 \u00a0randomly selected individuals.\u00a0 The project examines the extent of fundamentalist attitudes among various Israeli population groups (Jews.
