However, 41% said they have no confidence at all that Trump will handle U.S.-Israel relations correctly, and 42% expressed no confidence in his approach to fighting antisemitism.<\/p>\n Trump received the lowest confidence ratings on his handling of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict:<\/p>\n \u25cf 45% said they have no confidence at all that he will \u201cdo the right thing\u201d on the issue, while only 23% expressed high confidence in him.<\/p>\n \u25cf Regarding Iran, 28% said they trust Trump to act appropriately, while 36% said they do not trust him at all.<\/p>\n Shift in Views on U.S.-Israel Relations<\/p>\n For the first time, a majority of respondents (57%) believe that the U.S. provides Israel with the right amount of support, marking a shift from last month, when a majority felt that the U.S. was not supportive enough.<\/p>\n Specifically:<\/p>\n \u25cf 57% say U.S. support for Israel is at an appropriate level.<\/p>\n \u25cf 18% believe the U.S. does not support Israel enough.<\/p>\n \u25cf 18% think the U.S. supports Israel too much.<\/p>\n Last month, a majority (54%) of respondents said the U.S. was not supportive enough of Israel. This marks the first time since data collection began that there is no majority among conservative and centrist American Jews who believe the U.S. is insufficiently supportive of Israel. This shift is likely influenced by changes in the U.S. administration and President Trump\u2019s positions.<\/p>\n On the relationship between the Israeli government and the U.S. administration:<\/p>\n \u25cf 51% believe the Israeli government is appropriately close to the U.S. administration.<\/p>\n \u25cf 39% think Israel is too close to the U.S. administration.<\/p>\n \u25cf 3% believe Israel is not close enough to the U.S. administration.<\/p>\n American Jewish Views on DEI Initiatives<\/p>\n As debates over Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies continue in the U.S., the survey examined American Jewish attitudes toward these initiatives and their relationship to Jewish tradition.
