The findings presented here, are based on data collected during a particularly turbulent time in Israeli society, and require careful attention and continued monitoring — in part to examine in subsequent years whether the events of the current year, which are still unfolding at the time of writing, leads to a strengthening or erosion of values and attitudes among the various subgroups of Israeli society.
It is of great significance that in Israel at this point in time, there is no visible erosion of the fundamental desire for a genuinely democratic regime. However, the significant disparities in support for a Jewish state indicate both the impetus of the current crisis and its possible results.
