The Israeli Society Index – July 2025 Edition, highlights a significant shift in national perception: An overwhelming majority of Israelis no longer view Iran as an existential threat.

A majority (59%) of respondents said they would likely oppose the U.S. taking control of the Gaza Strip, as proposed by President Trump.

JPPI's Monthly Israeli Society Index finds that Only 61% of the Israeli public thinks Israel will win compared to 78% in October. 57% say their level of trust in the government is low or quite low.

Forty-nine percent of Jewish Israelis agree with the statement “Israel must not relinquish control of the Philadelphi Corridor even at the expense of a hostage deal.” Forty-three percent support the statement “Israel should give up control of the Philadelphi Corridor to enable a hostage deal.”

August Voice of the Jewish People survey report revealing significant support among both American and Israeli Jews for Israel's firm stance against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Other findings show Israelis oppose the planned state ceremony to commemorate October 7, amidst a further decline in the assessment of the state's security and economic strength.

Understanding these perspectives is crucial for shaping policies and fostering stronger ties between US Jews and Israel.
