Bio
Dr. Kobby Barda is a lecturer at the School of Multidisciplinary Studies at the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT), a Visiting Fellow at the University of South Wales, and a Senior Non-Resident Scholar at the Center for Governance and Markets at the University of Pittsburgh. His research focuses on American political history, particularly the intersection of religion and politics, the evangelical movement, and its influence on U.S. foreign policy. His recent book, The Liberty Way: Falwell’s Path to Christian Zionism (Anthem Press, 2025), examines the development of evangelical grassroots networks and their impact on U.S.–Israel relations.

LTC (Ret.) Or Horvitz
Bio
LTC (Ret.) Or Horvitz is a strategic leader with over 17 years of experience at the intersection of U.S. foreign policy, U.S.–Israel relations, intelligence, and security. He currently serves as Head of the American Program at the Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI).
In parallel, he serves as Head of Strategy at Elsight Ltd., as a Lecturer on intelligence, crisis management, and international affairs, and provides strategic advisory services to companies, institutions, and senior decision-makers navigating complex geopolitical and security environments.
A former Lieutenant Colonel in Israeli Defense Intelligence (IDI), he led large multidisciplinary teams, authored hundreds of decision memoranda for senior military and government leadership, and gained extensive experience along the intelligence axis linking Israel and the United States. In his final roles in IDI, he served as Head of the Hezbollah and Lebanon Branch (2022–2024) and later as Senior Advisor to the Director of IDI (2024–2026), where he was centrally involved in post–October 7 transformation processes and Israel’s campaigns against Hezbollah and Iran.
He is an alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School’s RK Fellowship (2020–2021) and IDI’s elite Havatzalot program (2008–2011).

Shlomit Mali is CEO of the AMI - the coordinating body for relations between Israelis and Diaspora Jewry. She is a serial entrepreneur specializing in project leadership an partnership development. Mali was part of the founding team of the Center for Humanities Studies, managed the teacher training department at the National Library, and taught Talmud in various frameworks (SAR – New York; Keshet – Jerusalem; Yad Laisha and others). She holds a master's degree from the Ravivim program at Hebrew University.

Dr. Fish has 20 years of academic experience in the fields of Israeli history, Zionist thought, and Middle Eastern Studies. Currently, Dr. Fish holds a position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at George Washington University’s Graduate School.
She was the Founding Executive Director of the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, served as Senior Adviser and Resident Scholar of Jewish/Israel Philanthropy at the Paul E. Singer Foundation, and was Executive Director at the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University.

We are happy to announce that Prof. Yehonatan Givati has joined the Institute as a senior fellow. Givati completed both his PhD in economics and his Doctorate in law (SJD) at Harvard and is a professor of law at Hebrew University. He is the founding director of the Aumann-Fischer Center for Law, Economics, and Public Policy at Hebrew University and a member of the Center for the Study of Rationality, also at Hebrew University. Givati will head JPPI’s “Israel-Diaspora Index” project.

Prof. Sharon Pardo (Ph.D., Ghent University) is a Full Professor and Jean Monnet Chair ad personam in European Studies in the Department of Politics and Government at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU). He chairs the Center for Sports Diplomacy at BGU, as well as the Simone Veil Research Centre for Contemporary European Studies – The National Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence. Prof. Pardo is co-editor of the Europe and the World book series (Bloomsbury Publishing) and served as Chairperson of BGU’s Department of Politics and Government (2016–2018). He is President Emeritus of the Israeli Association of International Studies (2021-2024; IAIS). Internationally, he is a former Senior Adjunct Fellow at the National Centre for Research on Europe (NCRE), University of Canterbury, New Zealand, a member of the Academic Council of the European Association of Israel Studies (EAIS), a board member of the Israel Council on Foreign Relations (ICFR), and a member of the Israel Bar Association. His research focuses on the legal and political dimensions of European Union (EU) foreign and security policy, with additional interests in the Euro-Mediterranean region, EU-Israel relations, and the intersection of international relations and big data. Pardo has published widely on these topics and teaches courses on European integration, diplomacy, and public international law.

Shmuel Rosner is a researcher, editor and columnist. He is the editor of the "THE MADAD" project, for politics, society, identity and culture in Israel and serves as a television commentator for Kan News.
Rosner was the editor-in-chief of the non-fiction books in Kinneret-Zamora-Dvir from 2009 to 2021. He was a columnist for the New York Times newspaper from 2012 to 2021. He was the head of the news department at Haaretz (1996 to 2008). He is a sought-after lecturer on Israeli politics, security, and policy; the state of the Jewish people; American history, politics, and policy.
